Graduate Transport - Traffic Engineer

City Design is a multi-disciplinary consultancy that combines design expertise with sound project management principles to deliver innovative designs for natural and built environments.

Due to internal movement, City Design is seeking a Graduate Transport / Traffic Engineer to assist in the delivery of traffic and transport engineering related projects.

As the Graduate Transport/Traffic Engineer, you will be working within a team of traffic and transport professionals. You will be involved in various projects using specialist Engineering Traffic and Transport Modelling packages such as EMME2/3, SATURN, TRANSYT, PARAMICS, and SIDRA.

To complement our team you will have:

  • knowledge in the use of transport modelling packages
  • a degree in engineering, or in a relevant professional discipline
  • good communication and report writing skills
  • excellent skills in the use of Excel.

Library and Information Services Traineeship Garden City

Council is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join its Garden City Library.

Team in the position of Library Trainee (Certificate III Library and Information Services).

Council traineeships fall under the Queensland Government First Start Program which primarily targets school leavers, unemployed and disadvantaged Queensland job seekers over 15 years of age.

Skills/Qualifications: Applicants must enjoy working in a team environment and be willing to learn, follow direction and show initiative and responsibility

- A minimum education standard (Year 10 level) in English and mathematics, however, successful applicants normally have completed year 12

- Ability to work within a team environment

- Sound interpersonal and oral communication

- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customers

- Computer skills

- Good time management skills

- Be self motivated

- Prior to employment you will be required to undertake a pre-placement medical

Job Summary:

The trainee will undertake a wide range of tasks including:

- customer service

- manage library stock which includes pushing trolleys and lifting

- develop displays and promotions

- shelving of books

Salary: Based on the Training Wage Award
